The following questions and answers are compiled from previous festivals.  We’re providing these as “guides” to help you with your Pittsburgh Pride experience, but all policies are subject to change. Please check back regularly for any updates. 

PrideFest takes place Saturday, June 10 from Noon-5 PM and Sunday, June 11 from 1-7 PM on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh (between 6th & 10th Street).

Why did you expand PrideFest to two days?
After Pride last year, we conducted an on-line survey and asked our community a number of questions.  One of the questions was how many days they would like PrideFest to be. The overwhelming response was to expand to two days.  After meeting with our law enforcement partners and city officials, we’re excited to have an even bigger and better 2017 PrideFest this year!

What days/events does my registration include?
Yes, Food vendor registration includes Friday, June 9 (5-11 PM), Saturday, June 10 (Noon-midnight) and Sunday, June 11 (1 PM-7 PM.)

How big is each space?
Each space is 15’ wide x 10’ deep.

Where will the food vendors be located?
Food vendors will be on Liberty Avenue between 9th & 10th Streets.

How many attendees are you expecting?
In 2016, we had approximately 130,000 people attend Pride in the Street and PrideFest.  Please remember we have added a Friday night event and have expanded PrideFest to two days (Saturday & Sunday).

When is load-in/load-out?
Pre-event load in, as well as post-event break down, will be conducted as efficiently and safely as possible. Assigned load in and break down timing and instructions will be emailed to you prior to the festival.

Will overnight security be available?
Exhibitors are responsible for securing all valuables.  The Pittsburgh Police and Landmark Event Staffing will be on site Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Is electricity available?
Electricity will be provided to only those vendors who requested it with their vendor application. Each vendor is responsible for providing their own cords and hook-ups.

What insurance do I need to provide?
All food vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh.

We registered as a food truck.  Can we leave each night to restock?
We recommend that you make arrangements for a separate delivery to be made to you if you need additional supplies.

What permits do I need to obtain?
All food vendors must provide a copy of their Allegheny County Health Department food permit or obtain a temporary food service permit.  The cost is $41.00.  The Health Department will perform inspections on all food vendors throughout each event day.  For more info, visit www.achd.net/food/temporaryfacility.html

What is the deadline for food vendor registration?
Registration is available up until June 1 or when spots are sold out.  Register today at www.pittsburghpride.org/register.

Can I pay for my food vendor space with a check instead of a credit card?
Our registration is handled by a third party vendor who requires payment be made with a credit card.

When will we receive notification about our space assignment?
The week before the festival, we will email you a list of all the vendors and assigned vendor spots.  There will be increased security measures in place for vehicles that will be accessing the festival area. 

Where should we park?
Parking is available in the 9th & Liberty parking garage (accessible via Smithfield Street), the

Transportation Center on Grant Street, and at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

What’s the closest airport to Pittsburgh Pride?
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is approximately 20 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.

What is the closest hotel lodging?
There are several hotels within walking distance of the festival including the Westin Convention Center, Courtyard by Marriot on Penn Avenue, Kimpton Hotel Monaco, Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, Omni William Penn Hotel, and the Drury Hotel.
